I’m an editor, writer and broadcaster based in New York.
I’m currently an editor at NPR Music, where I assign, edit and contribute music criticism, features, interviews, breaking news and more across National Public Radio’s website, podcasts and radio shows. I’m also a regular commentator on NPR’s radio programs and a rotating panelist on the podcast All Songs Considered.
Previously I was a culture reporter at Jezebel, a music journalist at MTV News and a founding staff writer for Rookie magazine. My writing on music and culture has been published by The Los Angeles Times, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, The Fader, The New York Times Magazine, NYLON, ELLE, SSENSE among others.
My writing is also featured in the first three Rookie Yearbooks, as well as How Women Made Music: A Revolutionary History from NPR. I’ve appeared on panels about music and journalism at New York University, Manchester’s Louder Than Words and Dublin’s Hard Working Class Heroes.
